Features

  • A real fire, not a heating element1.5mm stainless steel with secondary combustion, so it burns the smoke as well as the wood. An electric coil makes a room warm. A wood fire on stones makes heat you can throw water at.
  • Steam you can actually makeThe rocks and the basket are in the box. Load it, let the fire bring it up, then pour water over the top. That is loyly, and an infrared cabin has nothing to pour water on.
  • 200 degrees F in your own backyardNo permits, no plumbing, no electrician, no inspection, no contractor. It stands on grass, a deck or a patio corner, and it works the same afternoon it turns up.
  • Three layers, built to live outside300D Oxford outer, 120gsm cotton insulation, 210D inner. It holds 180 degrees F and above with 10 degrees F outside, which is why winter is when most owners use it most.
  • Six peopleBenches on three walls with the stove in the corner, and 7ft+ of standing height. It is a room you walk into rather than a pod you climb into.
  • Packs into a bagBoth tents pack up into a weatherproof duffle bag. There is also a separate, smaller weatherproof carry bag for the stove

What's included

Everything here comes in the box with the Large Standard setup.

  • LargeThe Large Sweat Tent The Large Sweat Tent6ft x 6ft, 30 lbs, and 7ft of standing height. A 300D Oxford outer shell over 120gsm cotton insulation and a 210D inner, with a 180 degree high temperature TPU window and zip doors front and back.
  • 1.5mm steelSteel sauna stove Steel sauna stoveHeavy gauge stainless with secondary combustion, and the EasyStack stainless chimney that runs out through the sealed port. 65 lbs.
  • Rocks and basket Rocks and basketThe part an infrared cabin cannot copy. Load the basket, let it come up with the fire, then pour water over it for real steam.
  • Thermometer ThermometerMounted inside on cedar, so you get in when it is up to temperature instead of guessing.
  • Heat gloves and poker Heat gloves and pokerFor loading the stove and working the door while it is hot. Both are in the box.
  • Roof cover Roof coverThe fitted cover that goes over the top of the frame.

That is already a complete working sauna. Pro adds the cedar bench, two wool hats and the eucalyptus oil for $200, which is $323.97 of kit bought separately.

Setup & care

  • Putting it upThe Large opens on a QuickPop frame, like an umbrella. No poles and no tools. About 15 minutes the first time and less after that, and one person can do it alone.
  • Getting it hotSlot the stove into the corner, stack the EasyStack stainless chimney and run it out through the sealed port, then load the basket with the rocks and light it. It is at 200 degrees F in minutes.
  • Power and plumbingNone of it. No electrician, no plumbing, no permits and no inspection. It runs on wood.
  • Leaving it outsideThe roof cover goes over the top of the frame, and the 300D Oxford shell is weatherproof, so it can stand through a season rather than being packed away after every session.
  • Putting it awayThirty pounds of tent folds back into the bag. The garage over winter, or the car to the lake.

A Closer Look

What the sauna is made of, how the stove works, and what each of the two sizes is actually like inside.

Built to live outside

Three layers between you and the weather, and everything below is true of both sizes. This is the part that keeps your tent working for years.

  • 300D Oxford outer shell Weatherproof and abrasion resistant. This is the reason it can be left standing through a season rather than folded away after every use.
  • 120gsm cotton insulation The middle layer. It holds 200°F in and holds the cold out, and it is why a tent can behave like a cabin.
  • 210D inner shell The surface you actually touch, with a 180 degree view window in high temperature TPU that will not haze or warp at heat.
  • Rain, snow and wind It holds 200°F and above with -10°F outside. The roof cover goes over the top of the frame, so it can be used in weather. However, we do recommend taking it down during severe weather.
  • Front and back zip doors Two exits, and useful airflow control while it is coming up to temperature.

Is this a real sauna or just a hot tent?

It’s a real wood-fired sauna with sauna rocks, steam, and temperatures reaching 200°F+. Infrared cabins typically reach around 130°F and don’t produce steam because there’s nothing to pour water on. Pour water over the Sweat Tent stove rocks and you get proper sauna steam.

How long until I can get in?

About 30 minutes total. Setup takes around 15 minutes the first time and less after that, then the fire brings the sauna up to 200°F while you get ready. If it’s already set up in your backyard, you are minutes from stepping in.

Should I get the Large or the XL?

The Large is 6' × 6' and fits up to 6 people, making it the best choice for most backyards and families.

The XL is 10' × 10' and fits up to 10 people. Choose the XL if you host frequently or simply want more room.

Both are 7 feet tall, so you can stand comfortably inside either size.

Can I leave it outside, and can I use it in the rain?

Yes to both. The Sweat Tent is designed for outdoor use and can be used in the rain. Rain will not come through the chimney.

If you’re leaving it outside, use the roof cover and stake the tent down properly. For storms or high winds, take the tent down to help prevent damage and preserve its lifespan.

Will it work where I live in the winter?

Yes. The insulated three-layer shell can maintain 200°F+ temperatures even when outside temperatures drop below 0°F. Wind and cold weather are not a problem when the tent is properly set up and secured.

Can I take it with me?

Yes. The Sweat Tent packs into a bag roughly the size of a golf bag and can fit into a duffel. The chimney pipe collapses down and stores flat with the bench.

The entire setup can fit in the trunk of a car, so you can take your sauna wherever you go.

Is this actually a good value for a sauna?

Compare the category, not just the price.

Traditional barrel and cabin saunas commonly cost $3,000–$10,000+ before installation. Sweat Tent gives you a real 200°F+ wood-fired sauna without the need for a foundation, plumbing, or electrician.

What is covered if something breaks?

There are two options:

1-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Included with your purchase and covers manufacturing defects in the tent, stove, and chimney.

Sweat Tent Care+ Protection: Optional coverage that protects against accidental damage, regardless of how it happens. If your product is damaged, you can receive a replacement with no questions asked, subject to the Sweat Tent Care+ terms.

How do I light the stove, and what wood should I use?

Hardwoods, specifically white birch, burn cleanly and are ideal for the Sweat Tent stove.

Our birch firewood is specifically paired with the tent so it burns cleanly and properly. One box provides roughly 4–6 sauna sessions.

What comes with it, and what do I need to add?

The Standard Bundle includes the essential equipment needed to get your Sweat Tent sauna up and running.

The Pro Bundle adds upgraded accessories and equipment for a more complete sauna experience.

We’ll clearly show the contents of each bundle so you can see exactly what’s included before you order.

How hard is it to set up and take down?

Setup takes roughly 15 minutes the first time and gets faster with practice.

For the Large, one person can typically handle setup. For the XL, we recommend having one additional person available to help. Setup time is still roughly the same.

Where can I put it? Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

The Sweat Tent can go on any flat, level outdoor space that fits the footprint.

It requires no foundation, plumbing, or electrical work and is a freestanding tent rather than a permanent structure, so in most locations there is nothing to apply for.

If you live in an HOA or rent your property, check your local rules before ordering.

For safety, we recommend keeping the tent at least 6 feet away from your house or other structures and using it outdoors only.

You also have 60 days to return it if you decide it isn’t right for you.

Can I pay over time or use HSA/FSA?

Yes. Affirm allows you to split your purchase into installment payments.

Sweat Tent is also HSA/FSA eligible, subject to your individual plan and eligibility requirements.

How fast is it shipped, and what if I decide it’s not for me?

Sweat Tent is designed to ship within 2 days.

If you decide it isn’t for you, you have 60 days to return it. We want you to feel confident trying a real sauna at home without being locked into a purchase you don’t want.
